Terms of Use
Last updated May 4, 2026
These terms are the ordinary bargain: you can use the app, you should use it responsibly, and Wake-on-LAN still depends on the laws of physics, your router, and whether the target machine feels like cooperating.
1. Using the app
By downloading or using Computer Wake Up, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement.
2. What you may do
You may use the app to:
- wake computers on networks you own or are allowed to access
- save and organize machines you control or have permission to manage
- use widgets, Siri, Shortcuts, Apple Watch, and the Mac companion to trigger wake actions
3. What you may not do
Please do not:
- send Wake-on-LAN packets to systems or networks you do not have permission to use
- use the app for unlawful or abusive activity
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except where law clearly permits it
- redistribute, sublicense, or sell the app or access to it
4. No warranty
The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
In particular, we do not promise that:
- every computer will wake successfully every time
- network discovery will find every device on every setup
- the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently bug-free
Wake-on-LAN depends on hardware support, power settings, firmware, operating system configuration, and network behavior that are outside our control.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app or your inability to use it.
If a court decides we are liable anyway, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the app.
6. Third-party services
If you use iCloud sync, that part of the experience depends on Apple services and Apple terms. We cannot guarantee iCloud availability, sync timing, or performance.
7. Changes and termination
We may update, change, or discontinue the app over time. We may also revise these terms. If that happens, the updated version will be posted here.
Your right to use the app ends automatically if you violate these terms. If that happens, stop using the app and delete your copies.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
