LightReadr
A calm EPUB reader for books you already own.
LightReadr started with a small irritation: reading apps kept making reading feel like app management. This one is trying to be quieter.
Bring in EPUBs from Files, browse them by cover, then read in a full-screen view that gets out of the way. The controls come back when you tap, because sometimes you need chapters, settings, a page number, or a quick way out. Most of the time, you need the next paragraph.
You can:
- import EPUB books from Files
- browse covers and book details in a clean local library
- read full screen with quiet, tap-to-show controls
- adjust font size, font, margins, line height, and theme per book
- keep your place and reading settings in step through iCloud
- ask for a recap so far on supported Apple Intelligence devices
Book files stay local to each device. Your place, reading settings, covers, chapters, and other book details can follow through iCloud, so reinstalling the app or coming back later feels less like starting over.
Less like a reading platform. More like a little lamp for books you already brought with you.
