Redirector Privacy Policy
Last updated August 4, 2026
Short version: Redirector does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. Your rules and settings stay on the device where you created them. There is no account, analytics service, advertising system, or remote rule server.
This policy explains what the Redirector app and Safari extension store, how site access is used, and what happens when a redirect runs.
1. Information Redirector stores
Redirector stores the rule information you enter, including:
- rule names and enabled state
- source and destination domains
- regular expressions and redirect substitutions
- test URLs you choose to enter
- priority and Allow / Stop choices
- validation or disabled-rule reasons
This information is stored locally using Safari extension storage. Redirector does not upload it to borg.fyi or to a Redirector-operated service.
2. Browsing and site access
Redirector requests optional access only to source and destination domains you declare in your rules. Safari uses enabled rules to evaluate top-level page requests on approved sites and perform matching redirects.
Redirector does not keep a browsing history, request log, or list of pages you visit. It does not inspect unrelated sites, page contents, form entries, passwords, cookies, or browsing activity outside the permissions you approve.
3. Redirected websites
When a rule redirects a page, Safari makes a request to the destination website. That website and Safari may process the request under their own privacy policies. Redirector does not receive a copy of the request on a borg.fyi server.
4. Sync and accounts
Redirector does not require an account. This version does not sync rules through iCloud or any other service. Each Mac, iPhone, or iPad has its own local rules and site permissions.
5. Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Redirector does not include analytics, advertising, third-party tracking, or a crash-reporting SDK. We do not sell or share data about your rules or browsing.
6. Support messages
If you email support, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send. That information is used only to answer the request and diagnose the issue. Avoid including private URLs or other sensitive information.
7. Children’s privacy
Redirector is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app or extension.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a material way, the updated version will appear here with a new date at the top.
